Nancy Jean Cassel was born in Harrisburg, PA to William Harrison Milliken and Faye Elizabeth Milliken (Foltz) on December 22, 1936. She departed earth on October 9, 2020. She was a graduate of William Penn High School, Class of '55. She was married to Earl Stanton Cassel on August 7, 1955. She was a member of the Harris Street Church in Harrisburg. She was employed as an office manager for Ugite Gas Company, Channel 100, Earl's Seafood Shack, and Kreamer Bros Glass. She is from one of the great generations that raised great kids!! She loved her Christmas Eve open houses that she enjoyed with family and friends. Christmas by far was her magical day! Nancy enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; trips to Disney World, Ocean City, and their winter home. She was a sports enthusiast. She loved her hockey with the Hershey Bears, Washington Capitals, and her grandson and great-grandson's various teams. She loved the Baltimore Colts, Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Steelers, and crossword and cryptoquote puzzles. She enjoyed country music and camping was also a passion. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Earl, of 65 years; daughter Jody (Russel) Swanger; son Tracy Cassel; her sister Janet Bratina; grandchildren Kyle Swanger, Jenifer (Jamie) Clark, Collin Swanger, Justin (Rebecca) Cassel, and Kara (Scott) Pezzuto; great grandchildren Gavin Clark, Danielle and Jamison Swanger, Kaden and Mila Pezzuto, and twins Hana and Everett Cassel. Friends and family will be received at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109 on Wednesday October 14 at 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Fort Indiantown Gap at the convenience of the family. Due to the corona virus, the Cassel Family is practicing social distancing and will be holding a private celebration of life for Nancy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, P.O.
