Bernard MAYWEATHER

March 5, 1961July 12, 2020

Bernard Mayweather, 59 years old of Harrisburg, PA passed away after battling a sickness at his home on July 12, 2020. He was born on March 5, 1961 to the late Helen Mayweather in Neptune, NJ. He was a life-long resident of Asbury Park and attended Asbury Park Schools. He was predeceased by his Mother and his brother Wesley Studemire, Jr. He is survived by his Wife, April Mayweather, his son Jamar Mayweather, his brother Ibrahim Muhammad (Leonard), his sister Lynne Whye, and his step-children, Diane Baxter, Sir Gregory Taylor of Gastonia NC, Estella Crosby of St. Petersburg, FL, Cliffton Crosby, and Shakeem Jefferson of Savannah GA., 15 grand children and 1 great grandson, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends whom will forever cherish his memory. Bernard has also left to mourn his loss some very close brothers, Willie Mcmullen, Adrian Nicholson (aka Brett), Jacque Hall, Marvin Moses, Marvin Wingfield, Kevin Fuller, Keith Thompson, Ricky Hollings, Horace Swanson and a host of other brothers he deeply and truly loved and cared for. Bernard received his formal education in Asbury Park High School where he graduated, Brookdale Community College with a Degree in Associate In Applied Science and a Associate Degree in Fashion Merchandising. He Served in the New Jersey Military Academy as a NBC Specialist in the Army Reserves. He was employed by the State of New Jersey Department of Human services Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital where he retired in 1997. Community Care Behavioral Health which was his passion working with people of all ages. He was a Lead Facilitator up until his passing for the past 9 years and he enjoyed his job. Bernard loved all of his family the same whether they were through blood or not. His passion for Music was over the top, Bernard was one of the flyist dressers you would ever come across, he loved fixing computers and one of his biggest passions he became the Fire Stick King as all his friends called him. His smile and his laugh was so infectious to no end, he is loved by so many. Bernard always had a way with people no matter where you came from if he had love for you that was going to be an everlasting love.
